DAD AND THE DALE CAR
My father has been an Earnhardt fan for longer than i can remember, so when he sent me this car in a facebook message i knew we had to have it! Soon after he retired he bought this car as a retirement gift to himself, "Now I can finally enjoy myself in a car i never thought i'd have!"
Vehicle History
This Monte Carlo started its life
as a blue on blue LS....boring... i know.
The previous owner who resides
in the heart of Nascar country (North Carolina)
started work on this car in 2001 adding the SS nose and painting it the Iconic Black and Silver.
Decals were bought directly from Richard Childress Racing. Many stock car inspired parts were added such as the spoiler, wheels, headlight covers, mesh grille, Authentic Nascar steering wheel and fake side exit exhaust.
The dashboard was signed by longtime crew member and fuel man, Danny "Chocolate" Myers at the
RCR Museum. This car has also been on Charlotte Motor Speedway (hopefully more tracks in the future)
what we have planned
MOTOR UPGRADE
Engine Builder Genius and friend Greg Sevcik is building the
badass motor to replace the tired stock 4.3L V6
A beautiful 350 SBC bored .60 over
will be taking its place.
Finally we'll have the power to go with the
iconic look of the Black #3

INTERIOR MODS
Seeing as this car will remain a 'Cruiser' we're keeping the interior
as comfortable as possible while still adding that old school
stock car feel. Once the motor and drive train are finished we'll focus on the interior. Here's what we're thinking.
- Bucket seats to replace the 60/40 bench
- new black carpet
- column shifter delete (Mr. Gasket Floor Shifter)
- new gauge panel with racing gauges
- possible stock car inspired dash
EXTERIOR MODS
The previous owner did a fantastic job starting this project
and we'd like to continue their work.
- Functional side exit exhaust with power exhaust cut-off's
- lower the car about an inch and half/two inches
- repair some decals showing their age
- LED turn signals
- mesh covers for front turn signal inlets (possibly from Rhine Enterprise
